I am RonO, or Ron Oakes. I'm a resident of the San Diego area (Oceanside) in California. I've been involved with Science Fiction Fandom since 1994, and have been actively involved with Christian Fandom and DucKon both since 1996. I own, if not run, the website for Christian Fandom (http://www.christian-fandom.org). I am a past Chair for DucKon (http://www.duckon.org), and serve as their Registrar -- even though I now live most of the way across the country. If you know me, or at least who I am, it is probably from these.

I am also a Software Engineer for Qualcomm, and am married with one child, one cat and one dog.

Until July 2008, I had lived most of my adult life in the Chicago area working for Motorola. I lived in San Diego, in between two long stays in the Chicago area, for 14 months in 1998 and 1999, and worked for Sony during that time. I grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico and graduated from the University of New Mexico.
