Last week, as she was noticing that the workload at the hospital has been lower recently, Tara thought it might be nice if she could also take Friday off, and we could take advantage and go up to Disneyland to use half of our two-fer tickets -- starting the clock on the other half. This morning she confirmed that she can take off.
So I went out and got tickets on the Surfliner (Amtrak) to Anaheim, and got assurance from the Anaheim Resort Transit people that we'll be able to get to Disneyland. So, our plans for Friday are set: Get up more or less normally, catch the Sprinter 30 minutes earlier than I normally do -- or alternately get up a bit earlier and catch it an hour earlier than normal, or drive to the Oceanside Transit Center -- and then take the big train to Anaheim and spend the day at Disneyland. I got a later return than I should have, so Derrick WILL sleep in on Saturday since he'll be up way past his bedtime. But I think we'll have fun.
I just hope that the crowds are too bad given that it is a holiday for some not insignificant percentage of the population.
