Last May when we were at Disneyland, I bought (or maybe robot_grrl bought me) a long sleeved t-shirt. This morning, I decided it was cool enough to put on. As I was doing this, I noticed that not only was the price tag still on, but so was the anti-shoplifting tag -- and this is one with a die pack!2 comments - Leave a comment
Now, one of us either has to get this off, or hope that someone at Kohl's (or similar) will believe us that we bought the shirt 6 months ago, so have no recipt, and will have a compatable tool.
I'll welcome ideas, but worry a bit about people with too much applicable experiance.
I had that happen to me once. I had good luck with a baggie wrapped firmly around the dye pack and a hacksaw because there was enough room between where the dye pack attached and the disk to gently saw the metal bit apart. IIRC I managed to do it without even triggering the dye pack. Depends on which model of dye pack you got, I suppose.
