TV Setup

Today was the day that we were scheduled to get our new TV hung on the wall.  The installer was late – his previous appointment ran long, and then traffic from Carlsbad to RB was bad.

But, once it got here, the TV was hung in short order.  Once installed, it was up to me to hook it up to the components and set them up.  This part went almost OK.  The only glitch, when setting up our Harmony remote it couldn’t control the TV’s input setting.  After a bunch of iterations, I finally settled upon having the remote manually resend the input setting commands after it is otherwise done.  It seems to work, at least so far.

Now, we just need to figure out how to replace our HD receiver with an HD-DVR, preferably without paying someone to swap them out.
