Taken from avt_tor who got it from someone not on my friends list:
List the towns or cities where you spent at least a night away from home during 2006. Mark with a star if you had multiple non-consecutive stays.
Albuquerque, NM *
Lake Delavan, WI
Delhi, India *
Bangalore, India *
Arlington Heights, IL (Chicago Suburb)
Naperville, IL (Chicago Suburb)
Rosemont, IL (Chicago Suburb)
Most of these places are within an hour of my home. Lake Delavan is the site of the bi-annual (once every two years) men's retreat for my church, Alrlington Heights, Naperville and Rosemont are sites of Cons in the Chicago area and my in-laws live in Rockford. Delhi was, mostly, a layover since the non-stop from Chicago there lands after the last flight to Bangalore each day, but I did spend one night there on my first trip so we could go to the Taj Mahal. Albuquerque was to visit family and Anaheim was for WorldCon.
At this point it looks like 2007 will probably repeat many of those places, except for Lake Delavan, Delhi (my employer just changed favorite airlines), and Anaheim. We will be adding Orlando, FL to the list, and may add Collinsville, IL if Archon/NASFiC can get their hotel situation straighted out before their room block expires.Leave a comment
