Jan. 2nd, 2008 11:20 am I come by my over engineering naturally Years ago, I built a bookshelf out of 2x12's and 3/4" plywood. Someone, ( dracos666 if I recall correctly) accused me of "over engineering" this since smaller lumber would have probably worked just as well.
This morning, I was helping my father take down the outside Christmas lights at his house, and discovered that my tendency to do this comes naturally. When he hung the outside lights he put staples into the wood of the house about every 2 or 3 feet, sometimes more often. He also drove a big concrete nail into the middle of the one span were there is nothing but stucco for about 5 feet between windows. Current Location: 87114
